The Places I Go...

A few weeks ago I took my very first trip to Auburn.
I even got to go by myself with Foster Mama and Dad!

In Auburn, I met the little dogs. They had all sorts of little dog toys that I played with.

I was a little nervous at first, but then I found out something super amazing...

When you stay under the table at dinner time, everyone wants to give you tasty treats!
Foster Mama made sure I didn't eat too much, but I did love the chicken!

After an evening of socializing, we curled up on the couch and I took a nice nap.
Being social is hard work!

Chilly Dog Days

Although I don't mind the sweater in the house for pictures and in the yard to play, I just don't like to wear it on our hikes.

I think you can see why.

When we hike, I just keep moving fast to keep warm and that seems to be working for me.

I still am not ready to walk free yet, but that's ok. I just like to be outside. In fact, I come right to foster mom when I see my walking harness these days. It always makes her hug me and tell me she is so proud of me. I really like hugs now too, but only from Foster Mom.

Here you will see my fashionable new royal blue leash to match my walking harness.
This was donated to to us by one of the first ever foster dogs in this new house- Mackie- now Zach-
and his mama.
Thanks so much! Your new leash allowed me to get rid of my mis-matched purple leash ;)

The Big Foster Brother

On Sunday, we got a new foster brother at our house.

I was hopping all over the place when I met him!

I plan to teach him all about snow and New York.

We don't have any pictures of us together yet, but this is me after a hard day of playing with a dog my own age.

It was really fun, but I also have to teach Maddox manners, and that is exhausting!

Here is Maddox. Maybe learning is exhausting too!

Basket Buddies

Zoey and I are really best friends. She loves to play with me and she even shares her basket with me.

The other night, we started a fire and watched a movie, so we all found a comfortable spot to lay in.

Then we switched spots...

and switched spots again.

Eventually, we got it right!

I ended movie night with some playtime.

I am a pretty funny guy!

My Snow Day!

This morning started off just like an average school day...
Everyone got up & got ready. While I was just about waiting to go into my downstairs house for the day,
something strange happened.

All of my people put their sleep clothes back on and we got to play all day!

When we got outside, the ground was COVERED in snow.
That was different. Last night we walked with Indigo and Foster Mom Kathleen for a some extra circle laps because it was so warm outside.

It was really cold and windy outside.
Zoey wouldn't even stay outside for one minute after she went potty!
Foster Mom tried to put my jacket on me, but I didn't want it. I just wanted to play in that snow!

It was a great snow day!!

My Friend Dexter

Last weekend we had Dexter over to visit.
Since I am now a playful puppy, we had sooo much fun!

While these three slow-pokes posed for a picture, I did a few zoomies around the yard.

Then it was playtime!

Sometimes I watched the bullies play and sometimes I joined the game. Either way, it was a GREAT weekend!

Even resting is more fun when you have a friend to do it with!

Hiking With Friends

On the first day of 2012 we went hiking with our neighbor friends.
It was a great adventure!

Here I am waiting for our friends to come out. I have learned that sticking my nose out of the car window is pretty exciting!
I have also learned not be nervous in the car because the car=fun adventures!

Although we didn't get any pictures on the hike, we did something cool afterwards...

Since I am not ready to hike without a leash yet, we all went into the tennis court and closed the gate.
This gave me chance to play with all of my friends!

Since they all had been running on the hike, I was the most energetic pup ;)
It was a good way to burn off some puppy energy!

Then off in the car we went (and I got in by myself for the first time ever)!

It was another successful adventure for me!

Happy New Year From New York!

Today is a new year, but I want to share one more special 2011 memory with you before we move into 2012...

I have mentioned before that little people make me nervous, especially since they often move quickly.
A very special little person spent the night at my house on Thursday.
He really wanted to get to know me better and was very quiet and patient in order to make me feel comfortable.

It took me awhile to build up my bravery, but I did it!
Actually, it was very nice to be pet on my head by someone new!

Now I am ready to move into 2012, where I will continue to grow bigger and braver every day!

Happy New Year!!!
