Snowy Days!

As fun as I thought the last snow was, the other day we woke up to something even better...

The nights are cold and windy outside, but I am snug as a bug in a rug when Foster Mama covers me with Zoey's favorite blanket when she was a pup.

When I finally got out of bed, I found this waiting in the back yard for us...

2 inches of our very own snow to play in!!!

We played chase, we ran around all over the yard, and then we played some more!
I was so energetic, I didn't even need my sweater to stay warm out there! I am really turning into a New York dog!

It seems we all love the snow in New York!

You Have to See it to Believe it!

Watch me being a playful puppy!

Vacations are for Playing!

I am having so much fun on vacation! We stay up late, sleep in, go for lots of hikes and we PLAY, PLAY, PLAY all day!

Zoey is the dog I love to play with most because she is the most fun!

Can't you tell by her face? She loves to play with me!!!

I even play with my people. They are almost as much fun as other dogs!

Life is great!

Say Cheese!

Every Christmas, Foster Dad surprises Foster Mom with a special picture of all of the pups.
Since I am the first ever Cosentino Christmas foster (besides Emmitt, but since he stayed forever, he doesn't really count as a foster) I got to be a part of this year's surprise...

I was a little nervous around the big house tree, so he did one without me.

I did get my very own reindeer picture by the small house tree to make up for it.

This one was Foster Mom's favorite! It made her laugh out loud. She sure is easy to amuse!

Merry Christmas to Me!

The past few days were CRAZY! On Christmas Eve, there were 30 people at my house!!! That's a lot of noise and too much chaos for me, so I decided to stay in my downstairs box. Foster Mom had a feeling I would not be coming out even though my door was open, so she stocked it with cookies, toys, and chews so I wouldn't be bored. Lots of people came to visit me in my room and brought me special treats, so that was nice. But I decided to stay inside where I knew what to expect. Foster Mom says next year I will probably want to visit more.

Orion from next door really wanted me to come out, but little people make me nervous because they move so fast.

When everyone left, I came out and played, pottied and ate my dinner.
Then we went to bed.

When we woke up, Santa Paws brought everyone presents, including me!!!

I wasn't really sure what to do with these presents, so Foster Mom helped.

It turns out that Santa Paws brings toys, treats and bones to good dogs (and Zoey, even though she is naughty sometimes ;)

We played all morning and then got some time to rest while the grown-ups went to dinners.

It turns out I REALLY like Christmas after all!
Merry Christmas to all of my friends!

Just Being a Puppy

Today was a busy day...Foster Mom had some people over to visit the puppies and then she began cooking dinner, all while cleaning puppy piddles off the kitchen floor. Luckily for her, I know how to make her focus on the really important things in life...
Like me!

First, I took her shoe away from the puppies and brought it to my pillow.

Then I turned it into a toy. By the time Foster Mom realized I was chewing on something that didn't sound like a dog toy, I had already created my masterpiece. I like to call it "Pay attention to me."
It made Foster Mom laugh and tell me that I am truly becoming a puppy these days.

Party Animals

This weekend was like a big puppy party! We had so much fun!

Since the babies get cold very easily, we played in our basement playroom a lot.
I really love running around down there.

Nell was my favorite puppy. She went home Saturday, but not before I played with her a lot.
I especially loved to kiss her on the top of the head.

Marv and Maddy both came over and had a sleepover, so we played like crazy pups! We went from outside to inside to the basement and then did it all over again. It was super fun!
When we went to sleep, there were 10 dogs in the house!

Marv was really surprised at how much I play these days. He knew me when I was super shy and hid in  my crate all of the time. He likes me even more now that I have learned to have fun!

One morning we woke up to do potties and there was SNOW on the ground! It was more than I had ever seen, but I hear it is just the start of much more snow to come.

Snow does a funny thing to the older dogs in my house...

It makes them wild and playful! Zoey was especially excited to chase everyone around. We had fun!

This is me tasting the snowflakes. See all of that snow?

Here we all are, ready for an afternoon nap. Marv and the pups were in the room too, but we wouldn't all fit in the picture. It was a great weekend to be a party animal!

The Mystery of the House Trees

So I have come to realize that the house tress are nothing unusual...

Apparently, they happen every year.

Just another photo prop, I guess!

Puppies!

So this week we have 4 baby puppies staying here. They came from the reservation and have never been in a house before, so they really like it here so far.

Foster Mama is spending a lot of time with these babies because they always get into trouble, but I make sure I get plenty of love from her. You see, it is pretty easy...just sit down next to her and she rubs my ears and pets my head. Who knew people could be so good?

They are rambuncious and sort of fun to play with too!

It seems like there is plenty of love to share in this house, no matter how many dogs are here.

Although I do like to play with these puppies, I also love to just relax in my basket.

The Holiday Season

Strange things have been going on around here.
Allow me to sum it up in two photos...

Not sure what to make of it all, but my foster parents sure are easily amused. Quite honestly, nothing surprises me much in this house, especially since they brought in our very own house tree last week. I am still investigating that one, so I will let you know what I find out soon!

Hiking

Today was my biggest adventure day yet...I went hiking at Foster Grandma's house.

I was a little confused when we got our leashes ready and then went into the car. I haven't been in a car since I came to NY! My Zoey was right next to me the whole ride, which was really only 5 minutes, but still, it helped me stay brave.

When we got to Foster Grandma's, I hopped right out of the car and off we went, to hike.

Marv walked with me for a little while because he goes for Sunday hikes all of the time. The rest of the time he ran around chasing Emmitt, but I didn't mind.

I sort of like being close to Foster Mom and would check back often to be sure she still had my leash.
She told me some day I would be able to hike like the big dogs, but for now, I would do a leash hike.

I even got to see the creek and walk in it a little. It was cold, but I didn't really mind.

After our walk we went inside where I played with Marv and Zoey a little. Then we got back into the car and went home. Foster Mom confused me by parking in the garage and letting me get out all by myself, but it only took me about 2 minutes to get out of the car and get in the house. Zoey waited with me to be sure I knew the way in. She sure is a good role model!

Growing Up Cosentino Style!

Hi again everyone! Lately I have been growing into my legs and into my very own personality...

I have learned to hide my very favorite toys in my basket because in a house of 4+ dogs, toys go missing all of the time!

I have also learned that Foster Dad is not very good at paying attention to me when he is playing with his i-pad...that means I can sneak up onto the couch and act casual for a while ;)

I have learned that Zoey really does love to snuggle with me!
She has been known to be not so good at sharing in the past, but with me, she is very generous!

I have learned that Foster Mama loves to play with me after school and that playing inside is almost as fun as playing outside!

Finally, I have learned that snow is pretty fun to run around in, even if it makes the ground very cold!
